CE SAIN Team
Dr. Hok Lyda serves as Centre Director of CE SAIN. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from Royal University of Agriculture; Master of Science in Agronomy from Khon Kaen University, Thailand; and Ph.D. in Environmental Systems (Environmental Soil Science) from North Carolina A&T State University, the United States. He has expereinced in teaching and research and coordinating various agriculture related research projects in Cambodia. Currently, Dr. Lyda is also a faculty member of Royal University of Agriculture (RUA).
Dr. Lyda’s duties at CE SAIN include reporting activities to RUA Administration, External Advisory Board and SIIL-CE SAIN Coordinator. He interacts and consults with the SIIL Director and SIIL-CE SAIN Coordinator and ensures there is an effective and active link between CE SAIN and USAID Cambodia Mission, and protocols are implemented to complete CE SAIN deliverables. He also collaborates and guides all employees in the center.

Manel MAO serves as Program Manager of the Center of Excellence on Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Nutrition (CE SAIN). He earned M.S. in Project Management from University of Management and Economic (UME). He has significant experiences in leading multi-development project and programs. He serves more than 10 years in senior management positions for the local and international organizations such World Wide Fund for Natura (WWF), Oxfam Great Britain (OGB), Caritas Cambodia and Rural Communication and Environment Development Organization (RCEDO).
His skills were developed through more than 8 years of practical experiences in managing multi-development projects, more than 10 year experiences in basket budget monitoring and management, more than 10 year of practical experiences in supervising staff, building staff capacities related to their job and managing staff performance appraisal, more than 10 year experiences in the management and leadership role, more than 8 years’ experience in concept note development and proposal writing for raising fund, and 5 year experiences in NGO partnership management.

Mr. Chham Sokha experienced working with Plan International and World Vision Cambodia in the field of disaster risk reduction, climate change, and sub-grants projects. Sokha works on grant management, monitoring work-plan and progress of sub-grantees, which ensure the fund effectively used cost effective at the ground and reporting. Sokha experiences in managing fund from ADB, AusAID and support office from Hong Kong.
With more than 10 years experiences with 2 International Organizations, Sokha moves to CE SAIN as Development Manager, working with the team to raise CE SAIN profile and managing project. The CE SAIN, a project of Royal Agriculture University, aims at fostering agricultural research, education, extension, private-sector innovation and public-sector capacity building through improved collaboration and knowledge sharing fixed on attaining food and nutritional security in Cambodia. Sokha works with a team to manage scholarship program and small grant funded to research team as this part of capacity-building to address food and nutritional security in the country.
Though he holds a Master Degree of Development Management from Norton University since 2011, but Sokha has to learn a lot more on new skills in order to adopt with new assignment and perform the job well. Sokha is more than happy to be part of CE SAIN team as his job contributes reducing poverty.

Mrs. Un Vannak serves as the Business Manager of CE SAIN. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Finance Accounting from National University of Management (NUM). She is experienced in Financial Accounting at both LNGOs and INGOs, including producing financial report and Admin/Logistic supporting.
Vannak’s duties at CE SAIN is to ensure internal control and financial system (accrual, payment, data entry) and to effectively implement transparent and accountable manner in CE SAIN. Also, make sure office, asset and inventories are properly managed in order to provide effective support to program team, manage Petty cash and cash on hand, and monitor cash in bank to ensure that CE SAIN has enough money to use for its operation. And provide technical assistance to Center Secretary to organize lecture series, international workshop and conference as requested by PM and others.

Miss. Sar Pisey serves as the Center Secretary of CE SAIN. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Agronomy Science from Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Undergraduate Exchange Program from Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, the Czech Republic. She is experienced in event preparation, and research activities with both national and international partners and project assistance.
Pisey’s duties at CE SAIN include ensuring functioning of administrative and logistic work in the office, supporting Center Director and Program manager with day to day activities, Development Manager and Business Manager in area of publication and procurement, assisting in hosting the visitors, translating the official documents, coordinating in the lecture series and non-degree training, working closely with RUA in term of administrative work and event preparation, and contributing the support to the research and scholarship program.

Ms. Noun Sopheak serves as the Farm Manager of CE SAIN at RUA, Phnom Penh. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Agronomy Science from Royal University of Agriculture (RUA). She is experienced in farm inspection, report writing and certification and training provision that focuses on “EU and NOP organic standards and internal control system management to organic farmer cooperatives in Preah Vihear province.
Her duties at CE SAIN include managing Technology Park in Phnom Penh following technical guidance from management team of CE SAIN and promoting the model farm being implemented by Technology Park to farmers, private sectors and visitors. Also, provide assistance to visitors/researchers/US partners/students/interns when they carry out their activities at the Technology Park and build good relationship with model farmers, local authority and relevant stakeholders.

Mr. Mao Sereyrithy serves as Farm Manager of CE SAIN in Siem Reap. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Forestry Science from Royal University of Agriculture (RUA); Master of Natural Resource Management from Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Cambodia. He is experienced as Program Coordinator for the project of Community Empowerment and Livelihood Improvement with local NGO, Mlup Baitong, Natural Resource Management Field Officer for the FFI Cambodia Harvest project with Fauna and Flora International, Project Officer for Agriculture Cooperative Union for Cambodia Sustainable Business Development project with World Vision Cambodia, and Community Engagement Officer with Song Saa Foundation of Song Saa Private Island.
Rithy’s duties at CE SAIN include as follows: He is the Farm Manager of the CE SAIN farm or Agriculture Technology Park (ATP) in Siem Reap. He reports to Program Manager of CE SAIN. He interacts and consults with other Farm Managers of Agriculture Technology Park (ATPs) and ensures there is an effective and active management within farm operation and other key stakeholders and partners to implement their agriculture experiments in the farm and collaborate with PDoA, local and international NGOs and farm community to promote successful and applicable agriculture innovations and replication.

Mr. BUN Chansereyvuth serves as the Farm Manager of CE SAIN. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Management from National University of Management (NUM) and Bachelor of Science of Extension and Rural Development from Prekleap National College of Agriculture (PNCA). He is experienced in designing and leading farm and in coordinating and building community capacity on horticulture.
Sereyvuth’s duties at CE SAIN include managing Technology Park in Battambang province following technical guidance from management team of CE SAIN and promoting the model farm being implemented by Technology Park to farmers, private sectors and visitors. Also, provide assistance to visitors/researchers/US partners/students/interns when they carry out their activities at the Technology Park and build good relationship with model farmers, local authority and relevant stakeholders in Battambang province.

Mr. Chea Soten serves CE SAIN as a program assistant. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from the Royal University of Agriculture and has participated in several IT skills training. He has experienced in photo, video and graphic design, computer maintenance, web development and so on.
Soten’s duties at CE SAIN include managing social media, designing agricultural technical leaflets and videos, assisting in publication of agricultural extension materials, assisting in administrative and logistic work and maintaining electronic devices.
