CE SAIN Lecture Series on March 24, 2018
March 24, 2018: The Center of Excellence on Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Nutrition (CE SAIN Cambodia) of Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) facilitated a lecture on “Coastal Resource Management in Cambodia”, by Mr. Phallin Chea, a Senior Project Coordinator of Coastal & Marine Conservation Project, Fauna & Flora International, Cambodia.
Mr Phallin has a BSc. in Environment (RUPP), a BBA. in Project Management (BBU) and a Master Degree of Arts of Development Studies (RUPP). Mr. Phallin has about ten years’ experience working in conservation and natural resources management in Cambodia - particularly in the marine and coastal resources management including designing and developing of Marine Projected Area (MPA), capacity building, research and monitoring, community development and stakeholder’s engagement, law enforcement using SMART.
The lecture shared the knowledge of the key habitats and species of marine lives, advantage and value of coastal zone, challenges in coastal zone, problem analysis and solution, Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), and duties of Coastal & Marine Conservation Project.
