Technology Parks (TPs) are established in different agro-hydro-ecological zones in Cambodia to demonstrate new and promising technologies and strategies, attract private sector participation within research and farmer networks and to organize innovation fairs, field days and workshops. The CE SAIN TPs demonstrate technologies within the context of smallholder production systems. The Technology Parks showcase how the CE SAIN Model Farm is applied and how it can enhance the quality of soil health, improve farm productivity, and save labor and operational costs. In the meantime, CE SAIN also provides technical advice and mentoring to local demonstration farmers to inspire others to apply these technologies in the influence zones.

The main aims of the TPs include following points:

  • A learning platform that CE SAIN organizes field days to demonstrate our promising technologies and strategies that are profitable for smallholder farmers. Our technical experiences are going to be widespread in the area.
  • A Farmer-Research Site that scientist, researchers and interested stakeholders can visit, and test their new innovations with good cooperation and support from CE SAIN and RUA.
  • Internship venue: The students of RUA and relevant universities who teach agriculture program can access this park for knowledge sharing and internship program. They may use the park for their final thesis development and internship career.
  • Synergy program with USAID funded partners: The parks are opened for interested partners to have a synergy with CE SAIN.
  • Private Sector Engagement platform: The parks are also opened for testing new innovations, researching and demonstrating technologies and equipment that will be able to increase more yield and earn more income for small holder farmers in the area while enhancing ecosystem services.
